Thank you Brent. A lot of this reminds me of so many relationships where one person can't wait for the other to get sober...only to find out that "sober" doesn't look the way they want so they take off. It's like the sobriety kicks off a whole other series of issues to deal with that are equally uncomfortable as whatever the addiction was. I totally relate the ego wanting it's payback.

Ha, great story. Yes I lament it too. I look at my old school and it looks like a prison. The freedom we had was thrilling. Bandon Dunes was fully functional, it was the cities in Oregon and its people that stayed home from work. Southwest Airlines only had 2 people show up to work to put gas in the planes lol, causing all the flights out of Portland to be delayed.
